Happy 3rd Travis!

Well my little guy just turned three! I can still remember being pregnant with him like it was yesterday... he is growing up so fast. I must say Travis is the light of Clint and mines life. We can't wait to see or hear what he is going to do next. He is so smart and curious, has a lust for life, and is always on the move, he has to be doing something at all times which makes my day very busy, yet he is the reason to wake up everyday and do it all over again. I love being a parent and love being his mom.

We decided to go to Chuck-E-Cheese this year for Travis's Birthday. Travis was very excited for his big day, I had told him a few days before his birthday that maybe he would get some new motorcycles for his birthday, so for two days he went around the house saying... "get some more motorcycles for my birthday." It was the first thing out of his mouth in the morning... good thing I bought him some new motorcycles! :-) We got snow the morning of his Birthday, I took a couple of pictures of Travis playing in it, and of him trying to help blow up his balloons.
Travis was a little bit overwhelmed at Chuck-E-Cheese, but overall I think really enjoyed himself. Of course we wished all family members could of been here, but hopefully reading this and seeing the pictures is like you were here. Travis road some rides, had pizza and birthday cake, opened presents, and even played skee ball with us toward the end of the party.
Travis went with me to order his Birthday cake the day before, and I showed him the motorcycles that were going to be on his cake, he was so happy, but when he realized the bikes weren't going home with us right then he started to have a little fit, so needless to say when I picked his cake up on Monday, he was very excited. I got a couple of pictures of Travis admiring his cake before the party... oh, he may have snuck a taste.

I just want to thank everyone for making his Birthday a special one! He loved all his gifts and seeing all of you! And cutos to Kyle for showing up broken leg and all!

I love you, I love you Av's!

Travis did the cutest thing today... Avery was laying on the floor by Travis while he played with his motorcycles, when he leaned and said, I love you, I love you Av's! He keeps handing her his toys, mostly his motorcycles and laughs because she puts everything in her mouth right now.

He also decided to throw things... mainly toys over the fence today into the neighbors yard. Let's see, two motorcycles, two balls, a toy pig and lots of rocks made it over before I saw what was happening and stop ed him.

The life of a toddler!

March Blizzard!

OK, we have what 2 days left of March, and what do we get hit with??? Oh, a Blizzard! I must say Travis loved every minute of it. We have shoveled snow for two days straight. In this case, I think the pictures tell it all...

Freestyle Motocross AKA "Trick Riders"

Well we have completed two MX races this year, the first was 2/22/09, the second 3/22/09. Travis went to the Pepsi Center 3/21/09 with Grandma & Grandpa Bassett to watch Freestyle Motocross! He has been fascinated by the tricks ever since Grandma Britt bought him a Motocross DVD that has a Freestyle segment in it. Clint and I unfortunately couldn't go because of the race we were promoting. I do know Travis had a ball! He plays with his motorcycles everyday, making them do tricks!

"Check on Avery"

Travis was so cute yesterday. He was out playing with the dogs, when all of a sudden he came into the family room saying... "check on Avery". He went over to the swing, put her binky in her mouth, turned the swing on, then went to go play with the dogs again. Needless to say my heart melted. These our the times which makes having kids worthwhile.

Back To Work

Well I finally caved and am helping Clint @ the Honda Shop on Tuesday's and Wednesday's. Marsha (Clint's Mom) is coming over to the house to watch the kids for us. My first day back to work was Tuesday February 10th & 11th. I enjoyed seeing Clint all day, but I must admit I missed the kids. Marsha enjoyed watching them, she brought over some motorcycles for Travis to play with day one, and a train set on day two... so he had lot's of fun. We have our first MX race this weekend coming up on the 22nd, so this week is going to be pretty busy and LONG! No time for sleep.

Family Visit

I must say we had a wonderful time having Jenny, Larry, baby Ashlynn & Nana out for a visit. It was so nice meeting my niece for the first time! Luckily Amie & Jim have a navigator so we were able to switch cars so I could haul everyone around. Everyone arrived Friday January 30th. Travis, Avery and I drove out to the Airport after Travis's Tumbling Class. The whole Airport trip couldn't have gone smoother. Nana's flight and Jenny & Larry arrived basically at the same time, we got everyone in the car including car seats and luggage; no small feet where Jenny is concerned. Saturday, we went to lunch then Dad & Jeaninne came over to see everyone... mostly the new family addition, Ashlynn.

Sunday, February 1st was Superbowl Sunday. The guys watched the kids while Nana, Amie, Jenny and I went shopping and to lunch. We made it back in time for the game which turned out to be a great game to watch. Nana's trip ended Monday, so Amie, Jenny and I went to the Carter's Outlet.

Wednesday we attempted to take the kids in for pictures. We tried to take the babies picture together first, but Ashlynn was being a little fussy so I thought we would get Avery's and Travis's picture while Jenny tried to calm Ashlynn down. Travis, the one we thought we wouldn't have to worry about was completely scared of the "big camera". So after lots of bribing, we only ending up getting little Avery's picture; she of course was all smiles! We then attempted to get the babies picture again... it was not happening so we decided to take a later appointment time and see how they would do. So after being home for a hour or so we came back for round two. Travis this time was hysterical. I had to sit with him outside of the area while Jenny did the babies pics. Luckily Ashlynn was happy this round and we were able to get some cute pictures of the two girls. We ended up taking some pictures at home as well, so this will give you an idea of how cute they looked.
Aunt Jenny & Uncle Larry bought Travis a early Birthday gift... a tricycle! Travis would ride it every time we were @ Target, so Aunt Jenny couldn't resit buying it for him. Thanks You!Jenny, Larry & Ashlynn had to leave Thursday, Travis had his speech therapist coming over @ 11AM and Avery had her 4 months checkup later that day so Dad and Jeannine ended up taking them to the Airport for me. Avery's checkup went good. Her 4 months stats: 13 pounds 1 ounce (50%), 25 inches long (75%), and HC 41 cm (50%). Well that about sums up the tip! Oh, wait I forgot to mention I got wrangled into watching The Strangers. For those who haven't seen it, it's a scary movie about a couple who get killed. Those who know me, know I don't do scary movies... so some how I got out numbered and had to sleep with the closet light on.
